Plot
Spanning four tumultuous decades during the Troubles in Northern Ireland
The real Dolours Price was married for two decades (1983-2003) to Irish actor Stephen Rea. During that time, Rea appeared in the film he is probably best known for in the US: the 1992 romantic thriller The Crying Game.
The casting is absolutely perfect
In that film, Rea plays Fergus, an extremely reluctant and ambivalent member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), the same organisation Price was involved with for many years. The lead actors, Gerry Adams, Brendan Hughes and Dolours Price were absolutely perfect.
You would swear you were actually there reliving history
It's raw, it's emotional and they have 1970s Belfast down to perfection. You would honestly think you were watching a documentary, it's so well shot.
I'm only a few episodes in but so far it's been gripping
So far they have done a good job of showing two sides of the story and have not shied away from showing how the trouble started. The protestant/loyalist population with the help of the police beating and burning Catholics outside their homes.
