The film "THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE", based on a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, tells the story of a young factory worker, Caroline (Vic Carmen Zonne), who struggles to survive in Copenhagen after the First World War. When she finds herself unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dürholm), a charismatic woman who runs an underground adoption agency that helps mothers find adoptive families for their unwanted children. Having no other way out, Karolina takes on the role of nurse. A strong bond is established between the two women, but Karolina's world is shattered when she learns the shocking truth about her job.
